Kif is a doer. When he was tasked, as the youngest team member, with serving as project leader to a team of upper-level students in a clinical neuroscience internship at Stanford University, he jumped into the role with both feet. The goal was to teach the socioeconomic effects of mental health to an audience of students and directors. Discussing the options with his team, Kif eventually decided to focus on the human side of mental illness. This approach proved very effective, as teammates and directors expressed their gratitude for the empathetic approach to understanding mental illness.
This experience has moved Kif to delve into the humanistic side of mental illness, to ensure that his audience understands that mental illness can affect anyone, and that it brings drastic economic and social consequences. With compassion and empathy, Kif has a positive yearning to bring kindness to the field of mental health medicine, spreading the knowledge of mental health reform and educating others.
